When we arrived in Uganda, my family and I decided to bury our pain deep inside. We hid our feelings and avoided talking about the painful experiences we endured during the war in Sudan. But everything changed when we took part in the counseling sessions with Dr. Yosra. Through her compassionate guidance, we learned how to communicate openly and begin healing the wounds of our past. Today, we are not only closer as a family, but we are also stronger in our ability to support and care for one another. We no longer shy away from our pain or let the stigma hold us back
