Meet Our Team

Kizito Kuku

Kizito Kuku is the Team Leader of Trauma Rescue Aid (TRAID), with a strong background in accounting and management. A refugee from Sudan since his childhood, Kizito has endured the hardships of displacement, starvation, and living in hiding from airstrikes, much like many other children. During his internship with the Darfur Network for Human Rights (DNHR), he witnessed several emotional interviews conducted by DNHR monitors with victims and survivors of sexual violence and torture who had fled Sudan. These experiences deeply impacted him and motivated him to take action, ultimately leading to the establishment of TRAID.

Kafi Abdulkheir

Kafi Abdulkheir is the Peace and Reconciliation Specialist at Trauma Rescue Aid (TRAID). With a strong background in education and community peacebuilding development, Kafi is deeply rooted in fostering unity among displaced communities. His work focuses on facilitating dialogue for conflict resolution, and promoting peaceful coexistence in the communities.

Barona Jagod

Barona Jagod is the Field Coordinator and  Counselor at Trauma Rescue Aid (TRAID). with a strong background in marriage counseling and Public Administration. Having been a refugee from Sudan since her childhood, Barona has lived through the harsh realities of displacement and conflict. Her personal experiences provide her with a profound understanding of the emotional challenges that many refugees face. She works closely with youth and married couples within the refugee communities, helping them to overcome the emotional challenges of being displaced and losing everything and guiding them through the healing process and helping them rebuild their lives and relationships.

Yosra Jadalah

Yosra Jadalah is a Doctor and Educator at Trauma Rescue Aid’s center in Mukono. With a strong background in Counseling and Public Health. As a survivor of the war in Sudan, she has channeled her own difficult experiences into a powerful force for healing and empowerment, particularly for refugee women.  She offers trauma counseling to survivors, teaches English language classes, and trains women and youth in coping mechanisms to support their emotional healing and integration into the local community.
